Here are answers to the questions I get asked most often about my music, from where you can listen to it to how you can use it in your own projects.
Listening & streaming
Where can I listen to your music?
My music is available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer and more than 40 other platforms worldwide.
Can I buy or download your music?
Yes! You can buy and download my music on Bandcamp and on SoothingRelaxation.com.
What is Soothing Relaxation?
Soothing Relaxation is my most popular project, dedicated to the power of relaxing music combined with beautiful nature. The YouTube channel has more than 10 million subscribers. My company, Soothing Relaxation AS, is also the record label for my music.
Using & licensing my music
Is your music royalty-free?
No, my music is not royalty-free. You need a license to use it in your projects, and please note that I don't accept all license requests.
Can I use your music in my YouTube video?
If you don't plan to monetize the video, that's fine! Just note that the video will receive an automatic copyright claim. If you want to monetize the video, you need a license from Sagatone Music or AudioJungle. Please note that reuploading my music videos is not allowed.
Can I use your music in YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok or Facebook?
Yes! Use the official music libraries on these platforms. Simply search for "Peder B. Helland" in the music library and add the track directly to your video.
Can I license your music for film, TV or games?
Yes. The best way is through Sagatone Music, my own music library, which makes it easy to license my most popular tracks for TV, films, games and other projects. For smaller projects, some of my tracks are also available on AudioJungle.
Can I play your music in my store, spa or venue?
It's great to hear that you want to play my music! I don't manage the performance rights of my music myself, so you can license it for public performance through your local performance rights organization (PRO).
Can I use your music in a guided meditation?
Unfortunately, it's not possible to license my music for guided meditations right now, due to music rights complexities. This might change in the future.
Can I use your music in a podcast?
You're welcome to send a license request for your podcast through my licensing page, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Why did my video get a copyright claim?
My music is registered with YouTube's Content ID system, so videos that use it automatically receive a copyright claim. If your video isn't monetized, you can simply leave the claim as it is. If you want to monetize the video, you need a license from Sagatone Music or AudioJungle.
Sheet music
Do you have sheet music for your music?
Yes! I currently offer sheet music for solo piano only. You can buy it on SoothingRelaxation.com, MusicNotes.com and SheetMusicPlus.com.
Are there tutorials for learning your music on piano?
Yes, some of my tracks have piano tutorials on YouTube. You can find links to them on the sheet music page.
About the music
What kind of music do you make?
I make instrumental music across many genres, ranging from soft, peaceful tracks to big, cinematic ones, including meditation music and game music. I love all kinds of film music.
How much music have you released?
Since 2013, I've released 9 albums and composed several hundred compositions.
